 "Flycatcher"
Who are you? What do you do?
You hear the lapping, you look at the shadow, you watch out for the furtive movements of a reflection, you inhale the odour of the water, you breathe in the wind, you bask in the summer warmth, you’re getting a kick out of being the fly catcher; seemingly contemplative, you are fully alert and in tune with the overall situation, you blend into the background. Are you devoted to the pursuit of pleasure?
You lash the air with your whip, are you trying to bring some sort of animal under control or hitch up a horse and cart? And your silk streamer moves like a cascading ribbon, I’ve got it! You’re a gymnast – the fluidity and pace of the movements coupled with such gentle poise, or maybe a dancer or choreographer…
I don’t understand. You talk of sub-imago, spent, phryganea and ephemeroptera! Are you a learned scholar or naturalist? What, I hear you say, just a few vague ideas about entomology?
And in winter, sitting at your workbench, in front of your tools, what are you making? Earrings or other items of jewellery? You have the finest of materials: silky feathers, multicoloured skeins and tiny hooks, etc. You have created a “nymph”! And so beautifully, too!
Sitting there, patiently, you recall times past, the waiting game where, motionless, on the look-out, impassive, you watch, just like a heron, before using all the crafty tactics you can think of to lure “your” trout and start the game of cat and mouse.
Now I’ve got it! You’re a fly fisherman, a real fly caster!

The Val d’Amour is in the Jura Department, to the east of Dole, between the vineyards and the plain.
The name "Amour" was originally "Amaous" : the "Amaves" were a tribe, originally from Frise in the Netherlands, taken prisoner by a Roman emperor and brought in to repopulate this area which had been devastated by war.
This little region is crossed by a pretty river, the "Loue". It is bordered by the Chaux forest. With its 22 000 hectares, it is one of the largest deciduous forests in France. It is known as "la forêt qui n’en finit pas" (the never-ending forest) > Place : Pavillon des Cercles - Aire du Jura> Contact : Pavillon des Cercles - airedujura@cg39.fr lieu dit Aire du Jura Phone : 03 84 44 49 00 - Fax : 03 84 48 18 51 > Découvrez les Photos de l’exposition "Forêt d’Amaous"

from 01/07/2005 to 30/09/2005 Exhibitions : The SKF Eco on the Jura Service area
In order to promote the local "Made in Jura" industries, an incredible vehicle was presented on the Jura Service Area. This futurist shaped vehicle covered 615 km with only one litre of petrol on the Nogaro Circuit during the Shell Eco Marathon.
This prototype designed by SKF in France is the result of a multi site enterprise. One of the SKF units is based in Lons le Saunier / Perrigny. It combines all the skills and knowledge of SKF in terms of ingeneering :
- The use of composite materials for the vehicle
- The choice and optimization of bearing and mechatronics > Place : Pavillon des Cercles - Aire du Jura> Contact : Pavillon des Cercles - airedujura@cg39.fr lieu dit Aire du Jura Phone : 03 84 44 49 00 - Fax : 03 84 48 18 51 > Découvrez les photos de l’exposition "SKF Eco"
